Increase of Value of
Nicaraguan Export
Highlighted
Managua - The
Nicaraguan export
operations increased
their value during 2008
in 24.1 percent compared
to 2007, said statistic
data from the Export
Process Center (CETREX),
published in this
capital Tuesday.
The value of sent
merchandise abroad in
the last 12 months went
up to 1.54 billion
dollars over the sales
in 2007, which went up
to that were 1.24
billion dollars, said
CETREX.
However, this rise did
not mean an increase in
the volume of exports
and rather responds to
better prices in the
market, sources of the
sector pointed out.
According to CETREX, the
shipment of samples and
free trade areas and the
sales of goods not
coming from Nicaragua
were excluded in this
increase.
In the rise of exports,
also, the development of
the trade with Venezuela
in the frame of the
Bolivarian Alternative
for the Peoples of Our
America (ALBA) was a
great influence.
