Teatro Nacional Claims Misprint And Media Error In Pricing

Although starting some 20 minutes late, the first of the "Teatro al Medio dia"  was a success with some 600 people in attendance, for a performance of pianist Ramiro Ramírez and mezzosoprano Raquel Ramírez.

On Tuesday we reported that the price for Costa Ricans and residents was only ¢500 colones and ten times that, ¢5.000 colones, for foreigners.

The sign outside the Teatro (see foto to right) and the Teatro website, mentions the price difference, but not the amount.

However, the ticket sellers at the Teatro say that there is no price difference and that the "foreigner" price was a misprint and exaggeration by the press.

Foreigners can buy tickets for any performance at the price of ¢500 colones.

Pura Vida, Mae!
