Pension Law Benefits Bolivian

La Paz - The Bolivian government restarted the payment of a
pension for adults over 60 years of age Sunday, called Renta
Dignidad, to benefit almost 700,000 elderly people of the entire
country.
According to Mario Guillen, director of the Value Mayoralty Office (SVSP),
financial entity VITALICIA will be the responsible for the pension
payment.
It was also announced that the Armed Forces will contribute in far
zones of the country.
Pension Vice Minister Jose Luis Perez guaranteed the assignment of
resources this year for the payment, refusing rumors on the
impossibility of making it true.
Perez said the Executive will spend 150 million bolivianos (22
million dollars) monthly for the payment. The resources are coming
from the Direct Hydrocarbons Tax (IDH) and the recuperation of
private enterprises by neoliberal presidents.
Perez also said that the transfers for banking entities and other
points with the authorization and capacity to make the payment can
start paying.
The payment consists on 200 bolivianos (28 dollars) for those old
people who do not receive any pension and 150 bolivianos for those
who have a pension. |
