Managua - The
appearance of Nicaragua's President Daniel
Ortega on a Cuban television program has won
headlines in the Nicaragua media on
Thursday. "The US embassy is conspiring
against the government," Radio La Primerisima website stated.
Ortega assured Wednesday in Havana that
officials from the US embassy in Managua are
plotting against his government, and his
administration has "all the corresponding
information," but it has not been revealed
publicly, this website noted.
The statesman's speech on the daily
Roundtable TV Informative Program, broadcast
here by local television's 4 and 23
channels, also appears in Radio Ya and La
540 stations.
Meanwhile, the News tabloid reports the
statesman's words on the Cuba issue, the
treatment of presidents, and the
condemnation applied during the celebration
of the so-called Fifth Summit of the
Americas.
