Officials of the Legislative Assembly have
had enough to the graffiti and posters that
adorn the exterior of the legislature
buildings and will be applying an anti-graffit
paint.
Antonio Ayales, director of the Legislature,
that the process is moving quickly for
approval and the paint could be applied by
May 1.
Ayales said that the objective is to
eliminate all the insults and vulgarities
that are painted on the walls of the
Legislative building located in La Cuesta de
Moras, east of the downtown San Jose core.
The official said he could say what the cost
is, but by applying the special paint ont he
walls it will save money, eliminating the
need to continually repaint the walls.
The special paint causes graffiti to run off
protected surfaces and makes clean-up
equivalent to washing windows. Available as
clear coating or in custom colors, it
provides high-slip characteristics that
cause paint to crawl together and run off
surface. Coating is impervious to UV
degradation, hydrocarbons, and various
chemicals in addition to paints, inks, and
dyes. Applications include walls, buildings,
bridges, vehicles, restroom partitions, and
lockers. |
