Honduras to Sue Otto Reich
Tegucigalpa - The
Honduran General Attorney’s Office continues
the corruption probe against Hondutel
company, and arranges to sue ex US
Undersecretary of State Otto Reich who
linked President Manuel Zelaya to the crime.
Defense Minister Edmundo Orellana, Zelaya's
Secretary Eduardo Enrique Reina, and the
Head Manager of the National electricity
Company Rixi Moncada, are arranging the
legal action in Miami.
According to El Nuevo Herald, Reich said
that in paying bribes to executives of
Honduras' Telecommunications Company (Hondutel)
President Zelaya has encouraged the practice
and is himself involved.
Zelaya says they are suing Reich for
spreading slanderous rumors and defamation,
and will not accept offences to "Honduras'
honor and dignity". |
