Apple has said that they are recalling some of its iPhone 3G ultracompact USB adaptor over concerns that they are potentially dangerous as they pose the risk of electrocution.

“Apple has received reports of detached prongs involving a very small percentage of the adapters sold, but no injuries have been reported,” said Apple in a statement released.

These adaptors were sold in several international markets including United States, Japan, Canada, and Mexico and will affect Apple customers in Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica and Panama in addition to the above stated countries.

Apple has advised its customers to replace the adaptors from a nearby Apple store.
