Nicaragua Election Officials Denounce Vote Tampering
Managua - Two Liberal judges of Nicaragua's Supreme Electoral Council denounced Saturday alterations in the announcements of provisional results from the municipal elections held last Sunday.

Judges Rene Herrera and Jose Marenco Cardenal said at a joint press conference that the provisional figures published between Friday and Saturday in the local press, in an announcement paid for by the electoral council, did not coincide with the reports on the official Web page.
