Venezuela Accuses Uribe of Favoring Clash
The strained relations between Venezuela and Colombia largely depend on the next steps by Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, whom local media accuse of fostering a war conflict.

"It is up to the Colombian side to decide whether or not to continue with the police of aggressions against Venezuela," Roy Daza, president of the parliamentary commission for foreign policy warned today.

Daza told Venevision TV channel that if President Uribe presents accusations against Venezuela for alleged link with Colombian guerrillas then "it wants war."

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez yesterday accused Uribe for joint responsibility in what he called "show" by the International Police about a report on computers allegedly seized to Colombian guerrilla leader Raul Reyes.

According to Chavez, the INTERPOL intends to make believe alleged documents linking Ecuador and Venezuela with the guerrilla, found in computers they said belonged to Reyes.

Regarding that, Daza recalled "the links Venezuela has had with FARC have been requested by Uribe" to mediate the release of people in the hands of FARC.
