UCR To Ban All Vehicles
On Campus on Thursday
Can you imagine a day
without you car or cars
on the street? That is
the idea of the
Universidad de Costa
Rica (UCR) who will ban
all vehicles on campus
this Thursday.
UCR officials say that
they will not permit the
entry of any vehicles
whatsoever on campus
grounds on Thursday to
avoid contamination that
is generated by
vehicles.
Students, professors,
suppliers and visitors
to the campus located in
San Pedro, north of the
San Pedro mall, must use
alternate transportation
to get to and from
campus. The university
is even banning all
buses that normally
provide service inside
the campus.
The program is organized
by the Programa de
Gestión Ambiental de la
UCR.
