 Panama Economy will Shrink in 2009
 Panama - Panama's GDP will shrink in 2009 due to the global finance crisis and recession in the superpowers.

Polling companies Indesa and Deloitte limited the GDP growth to five and six percent, three points below the 2008 forecasts.

The Association of Company Executives National Competition Center also announced exports decline at Colon Free Trade Zone and the Canal plus a slowdown in constructions, a key sectors in the domestic economy.

Forecasts also target inflation with Consumer Prices Index to round five percent in 2009.
