Five Ticos Added To
Interpol Wanted List For
A New Total of 45
Five new Costa Ricans
have been added to the
International Police
(Interpol) list of
wanted. The names and
faces of the wanted are
listed on the police
organization's intenet
website.
The five Ticos who have
made the list are part
of 45 Ticos wanted
around the world: Carlos
Cedeño Valverde, Juan de
Dios Bustos, Efraín
Barrantes, Estrella
Arias and David Acuña.
The five are wanted on
charges ranging from
drug trafficking to sex
abuse to murder and
fraud.
To make to the Interpol
wanted list, the local
agency says that it
receives a request by
local authorities which
is then submitted to the
Interpol head office in
France and the photos
and details of the
warrant are then posted
on their website.
Being listed on the
Interpol wanted list
means that every police
organization around the
world has access to the
information and the
power to detain the
suspect.
Among the Costa Ricans
listed on the Interpol
wanted list is LUIS
ENRIQUE VILLALOBOS
CAMACHO who is wanted
for alleged fraud and
money laundering of
hundreds of millions of
dollars.
