Ministers Analyze
Agricultural Policies
Authorities from the
agricultural sector in
Central America met at
San Salvador Tuesday
with views to ratify an
agreement on
agricultural policies of
the sub region for the
period 2007-2018 and to
check health and
prevention methods.
El Salvador Agriculture
Minister Mario
Salaverria reported that
during the encounter
agricultural policy,
corn prices and basic
products tariffs of the
area will be checked.
Salaverria explained
that the participants
will analyze besides
plagues and diseases
prevention, which
affects farming, as well
as the use of
insecticides.
The one-day event is
part of the 43rd
Extraordinary Meeting of
the International
Organism of Agricultural
Healthiness, with San
Salvador as host city of
this event.
Honduras Agriculture
Minister Hector
Hernandez; Panama
Guillermo Salazar; and
Belize Vildo Marin;
besides Costa Rica Vice
Ministers Carlos
Villalobos and Guatemala
Gustavo Mendizabal are
among the countries to
participate in the
