Noel Continues To Dump
Rain On Costa Rica
Noel continues its
influence on Costa Rica
for at least one more
day, according to the
Instituto Metereologico
Nacional (IMN), dumping
more rain on the
country, especially in
the Southern Zone.
The tropical storm is
1.600 kilometres from
Costa Rica, located
specifically over Cuba
in the Caribbean,
however, its effects on
Costa Rica are
noticeable.
Noel was responsible for
the heavy rain of the
past weekend that caused
floods and mudslides in
the South Pacific coast
and has kept the
Comisión Nacional de
Emergencias (CNE) -
national emergency
commission - on realy
alert.
So far 24 residents of
Cuidad Neilly have been
affected the greatest,
remaining in a shelter
of the local church. |
