Honduras President at
Cuba Med School
President Manuel Zelaya
is on the second and
last day of his visit to
Cuba, the first of a
Honduras president ever.
His tight agenda for
today includes a visit
to the Latin American
School of Medicine,
where about 500 Honduran
youngsters are studying.
He will also be
thoroughly briefed on
the Cuban literacy
program "Yo Si Puedo"
(Yes, I Can), by which
hundreds of thousands of
Latin American and
Caribbean people have
learnt to read and
write.
The visiting top
Honduran official and
his entourage of
ministers and business
people are also expected
to tour the Cuban Center
for Genetic Engineering
and Biotechnology and
the Ministry of Basic
Industry, and lay a
wreath at the Jose Marti
monument in the
Revolution Square. |
