Varadero to Hold
Carnival in December
The famous Cuban beach
at Varadero will host a
carnival in December
after a gap of several
years, Matanzas director
of the Cuban Institute
of Music, Reynaldo
Dominguez, announced on
Thursday.
Dominguez said the
cultural event at Cuba's
premier beach and sun
destination will include
parades from Thursday to
Saturday with chariots
and competitions of
various groups,
including the famous
Guaracheros de Regla,
Cuban AIN Agence
reported
Saturdays, after the
parades, there will be
dance contests in Ocho
Mil Taquillas Park with
different popular bands
performing at the
amphitheater.
Sundays will see the
return of the
traditional Aquatic
Carnival with adorned
boats floating the
entire Paso Malo Canal. |
