Hugo Chavez highlighted
on Tuesday his country's
foreign policy
achievements at the end
of a signing ceremony of
an agreement for the
creation of a binational
development fund worth
$6 billion with China.
Chavez said the words of
Chinese Deputy Minister
of the National
Development and Reform
Committee, Zhang
Xuanquiang, reflected
accurately the magnitude
of bilateral relations
in agriculture,
engineering and high
technology.
Zhang cited Venezuela as
one of China's main
trade partners, and
predicted a $10-billion
increase in trade in the
next few years.
The parties also signed
agreements between China
National Oil Corporation
and Petroleos de
Venezuela (PDVSA) to
supply Venezuelan fuel
oil to China. |
