Rescuers Ask For Work

BOQUETE, Panama (AP) -
Two brothers who helped
rescue a 12-year-old
Santa Barbara girl from
a plane crash in Panama
say they don't want
money as a reward.
They want U.S. work
visas.
Manuel and Miguel Angel
Vurac were among
volunteers who scoured
Panama's remote
mountains and on Tuesday
found 12-year-old
Francesca Lewis.
She was the only
survivor of a crash that
killed Santa Barbara
businessman Michael
Klein, his 13-year-old
daughter Talia and the
pilot.
They were on vacation
with Francesca when
their plane vanished
last Sunday.
Talia's mother, Kim
Klein, had offered a
$25,000 reward to anyone
who located the
airplane.
The Vuracs say they'd
rather have a chance to
work for a living in the
United States.
Klein says the Vurac
brothers deserve and
will get the money. As
for work visas, she
doesn't know how to
obtain them but she will
ask around.
