Cuban President Fidel
Castro and his
Venezuelan counterpart
Hugo Chavez held in this
capital a moving and
fraternal meeting, as an
expression of the deep
friendship that join
both peoples and
leaders, Granma
newspaper reported
Friday.
The gathering was
carried out Thursday and
lasted two and a half
hours, in which both
leaders discussed the
Petrocaribe Summit
taking place today in
Cienfuegos and the
implementation in that
city of the "Camilo
Cienfuegos" oil
refinery, which will
benefit Cuba and the
Caribbean countries.
Also on the list were
the fruitful
collaboration between
Cuba and Venezuela, the
next Summit of the
Bolivarian Alternative
for the Americas, and
the international
situation.
