Mother's Day Sales Heat
Up
With only thee days to
go to Mother's Day,
retailers have heated up
the holiday with through
the roof promotions so
that shoppers will be
able to pick out the
best gift for mother.
And the banks are
getting in on the action
as well by offering gift
certificates as an
excellent option and
special financing rates
on purchases.
In some cases retailers
and banks have joined
forces to attract
customers by offering
special discounts to
customers using their
credit card.
For example, Credomatic
is offering a 30%
discount at all Aliss
department stores to
customers who make their
purchases with Visa,
Mastercard or American
Express credit card
issued by Credomatic.
The Banco Nacional if
offering draw for prizes
for mother by only
activating the sales
voucher.
The other banks all have
some type of Mother's
Day promotion, including
special low interest
rates on the purchase of
home.
Though the Mother's Day
legal holiday is Monday,
August 20, the tradition
of honouring mother is
August 15th and that
will not change for the
majority of Costa
Ricans.
