FINLAND: Kesko To Launch Fair
Trade Coffee
Kesko Food has announced that it
is to introduce a new UTZ
Certified Fair Trade coffee in
its stores in Finland, under its
private label brand Pirkka.
he Pirkka Costa Rica coffee will
replace the existing Costa Rica
brand coffee.
Kesko said it expects the new
brand to compete well with the
coffee market leaders in
Finland. In the summer, Kesko
Food also plans to introduce
Pirkka Espresso and Pirkka
organic coffee.
It added that the Pirkka Fair
Trade coffee will be improved,
and the new product will be
launched in early 2008.
