Good News for Shrimp Lovers, Prices Drops
Though the price of fish products has remained stable during the past several weeks, the Departamento de Mercadeo del Instituto Costarricense de Pesca y Acuicultura (Incopesca) announced a considerable decrease in the price of "camarón" - shrimp.

Shrimp prices fell from ˘3.740 t ˘2.820 colones per kilo, a ˘920 colones drop, on average.

Incopesca gave no reason was given from price drop.

In contrast, "corvina reina" and "marlin blanco" went up an average of ˘400 colones per kilo, while the rest of fish products held their prices level based on the week earlier.
