Lula Closes Up Campaign with a Trek
Optimism and confidence in the future were the result of Brazilian president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva´s reelection campaign, ended today with a trek through the center of Sao Bernardo do Campo.

The walk extended for 40 minutes, during which he expressed confidence to his electorate in this industrial district known as ABC Paulista.

Talking with the press, Lula said that first he has to win the elections and explained he has no plans in case of being reelected but that he does have priorities.

Development, income distribution, quality education, investment in civil constructions, capital goods industry, heavy industry and infrastructure -society claims for this, he said.

Asked about his future cabinet, Lula affirmed he is in no hurry and recalled he has been playing for a while, the team can continue or can be reshuffled.

About the people´s support to his campaign he observed the Brazilian population became aware of what it can lose if another project wins at the polls.

Many thought they could manipulate the Brazilian people´s conscience and it answered it is owner of its nose and can think about what is happening in Brazil, he said.

Before beginning the trek, Lula told reporters that the opposition is politically desperate and that is why it concocted the so-called "dossier scandal" which the Federal Police found to be false. The denounce engaging an alleged money withdrawal (of 116 thousand 300 dollars) made by Lula was found to be false.

That money, according to the false declaration, was given to Hamilton Lacerda, former coordinator of the campaign of the PT candidate Aloizio Mercadante to be handed to the government of Sao Paulo.
