Limón Carnaval Underway
If you have heard it yet, the
"Fiestas de Limón" or "Carnval"
are underway.
The annual festival in the
Caribbean port have become
popular not only with Costa
Ricans but with many foreign
residents and tourists.
Each year, the city of Limón,
yet the entire province of Limón,
puts on its best face and begins
a week of music, dance and
parades. Typical food, costumes
and music fill the air.
The festival kicked off
yesterday and will continue
until next Saturday, October 21.
If you miss this festival, not
to worry, each small community
will have its own carnaval
during the month.
