Ortega Mending Fences in Central America
Central American integration will be the main issue of a meeting between Nicaraguan Elect President Daniel Ortega and Honduran authorities, the Honduran President Manuel Zelaya announced Tuesday.

He said they will deal with Central American integration, the fight against poverty, crime and corruption.

Likewise, he highlighted, "the change processes Latin America is really feeling all around its territory and in all its different nationalities."

According to Zelaya, the Sandinista leader will arrive on Wednesday, the day conversations will take place.

According to Honduran Vice chancellor Enrique Reina, the intention of the recently elected Nicaraguan President is to look for a rapprochement with the rest of the countries of the region, before the day of taking up positions on January.

Reina specified that the request of the meeting was made by Ortega, following courtesy visits to his Central American counterparts.

This will be the third visit he makes to the nation, vice minister said.
