Pro Cuba-Venezuela March in
Madrid
Some 15 friendship organizations
have summoned a march Friday in
front of the US Embassy in
Madrid, demanding the US
government keep its "hands off
Cuba and Venezuela."
That is the main slogan of the
rally, aimed at supporting the
revolutions in the two countries
and rejecting the new aggressive
measures the Bush administration
is plotting.
The organizers of Estrella Roja
Cultural Association, Bartolome
de las Casas Spain-Cuba
Friendship Group, and Ernesto
Guevara Association, among
others, recalled that on May 20,
the US government and its Cuban
mercenaries celebrate the Yankee
intervention in the 1898 Cuban
independence war against Spain.
The demonstration here is to
forestall counterrevolutionary
groups in Spain, financed the
same way as the Miami groups.
