Costa
Rica To Show Art at World Cup
Soccer Exhibit
Costa Rica will show off its art
at the commercial exhibition it
is hosting at soccer World Cup
in Germany, the country's
Foreign Trade Promotion Office (Procomer)
told media on Thursday.
"Procomer understands the
importance of promoting our
nation in all its aspects. Costa
Rica also exports talent: art
and artwork can help us in
promoting our nation's image,"
said Jorge Zamora, head of
international marketing at
Procomer.
The Costa Rica Area, a
500-square meter exhibition on
the nation, which runs from May
24 to June 11 in the Munich
Museum, will include work from
musical group Editus, painter
Manuel Zumbado, singer Tito Oses,
photographer Sergio Pucciy and
chef Oscar Castro.

spokespeople for a large number
of outstanding recent Costa
Rican groups -- of export
quality," said guitarist Edin
Solis, member of Editus
alongside violinist Ricardo
Ramirez and percussionist Carlos
Vargas. Editus won a Grammy
award in 2000 for their album
Tiempos.
