Be Prepared For World Cup Fever Come Friday
Friday morning, between the hours of 7am and 12pm,  if you have an appointment at a state hospital or need to do your banking, forget it.

All government employees have the morning off, while private employees will have to negotiate the time off with their boss.

In effect, until noon Friday, all state agencies - ICE, AyA, FyL, Racsa, etc. will all be closed. State hospitals have cancelled their appointments. All banks - state and private - are closed until noon.

Getting a taxi will be almost impossible. Ordering a pizza? do it early.

The opening game of the 2006 World Cup that features Costa Rican against Germany is being played Friday at 10am (local time) and by government decree all public sector employees have the morning off.

So, just sit back, relax and enjoy the game. You business can wait.
