Electoral Roll Completed in El
Salvador
The Electoral Supreme Court (TSE)
in El Salvador concluded the
electoral register Wednesday
with the view to the elections
of mayors and deputies in May in
this Central American country.
At the moment 3.7 million people
have been registered, reported
TSE.
In the next 11 days the TSE must
evaluate the work done and
correct all irregularities in
the election roll that will be
also supervised by the
Organization of American States.
Observers from this regional
forum will attend the elections
"to ensure public accountability
of the process" according to TSE
president Walter Araujo who
demanded the OAS certification.
Estimates are that the elections
will cost 12 million dollars.
