Venezuela, Colombia Fulfill
Accords
Venezuela´s President Hugo
Chavez and Colombia´s Alvaro
Uribe have agreed, among other
issues of interests for both
nations, to fulfill accords
designed to speed up
construction of the bi-national
gas pipeline.
The Ministry for Informatics and
Communication has reported that
both heads of state reviewed in
a telephone conversation
Saturday current bilateral
relations.
On December 17, both leaders met
in the Colombian city of Santa
Marta and also agreed on a
regular supply of Venezuelan
gasoline to Colombia, with
direct fuel sales from the state
owned oil company PDVSA to its
similar ECOPETROL.
The largest volume of
Colombian-Venezuelan trade was
reached last year, with
negotiations valued at over $3.2
billion.
