Don't Put Away the Umbrella
Just Yet
Did you get the umbrella out
yesterday? Well, don't put it
away just yet and best take out
a jacket as well, because the
next couple of days will be cold
and wet and windy in the Central
Valley, also affecting the
Central Pacific coast.
Unusual strong winds, rain and
cold temperatures will last for
the next couple of days as the
Central Valley is being hit by a
cold front from up north,
according to the Instituto
Meteorológico Nacional (INM) -
the weatherman.
The Central Pacific areas of
Jacó and Quepos/Manuel Antonio
will also see heavy to moderate
rain and lots of clouds. A
jacket won't be necessary but
sun tanning may have to be put
on hold for a couple of days.
Yesterday afternoon the Central
valley was inundated with rain
for most of the afternoon and
into the night. Jacó beach, a
popular tourist town, was cloudy
and spotty rain turning to
downpour by nightfall. The same
was reported at Quepos/Manuel
Antonio.
Typical weather for this of year
is hot and sunny.
Will the cold and rain affect
the election results. Possibly,
as many voters may elect to stay
home instead of going out to
elect a president.
