Child Malnutrition in Panama
At least one of seven Panamanian children under five suffers from malnutrition, a situation that is more intense among the indigenous, the Panama America newspaper reported.

The death for malnutrition in children under one reached 0.4 percent per one thousand lived births, according to the newspaper in 2005.

Panamanian Global Pact Net stated that around 47,000 children work in this country, many of them in terrible labor conditions.

Panamanian children are also affected by the abuse. The Social Development Ministry reported 1,331 cases.
