Internet Slow? Don't Blame Your
Computer
Internet customers have been
tweaking and tuning their
computer as they experienced a
sloowww internet connection, not
wanting to believe that it is
the state monopolies known as
the ICE and RACSA that are at fault.
Since early Sunday morning,
internet service has been from a
slow crawl to lightning fast and
everything in between, including
sometimes stalling all together,
The Instituto Costaricense de
Electricidad (ICE ) and
Radiografica Costarricense S.A.
(RACSA) say that the fault
lies in the underground cables
that connects Costa Rica to the
world, more particularly the
fault is at Punta Cana in the
Dominican Republic on the Arcos
1 Atlantic underwater cable.
Another fault that s affecting
internet connection in Costa
Rica is at Puerto Lempira,
Honduras.
ICE and RACSA officials say they
expect the system to normalize
by not later than this
afternoon.
