Gamma Kills Fifteen in Honduras
Honduran Permanent Emergency Commission reported Monday that Tropical Storm Gamma has killed 15 people, at least 13 more are missing, and caused 23,235 evacuations.

COPECO Chief of Operations said cattle ranchers are evacuating their animals, but have already lost more than 800 head to the floods.

Rescue personnel are exploring northern Honduras, with 20 relief flights over Gracias a Dios, Colon, Atlantida, Yoro and Cortes Departments.

A National Forecast official said storm remnants are over Bahia Islands, but warned of a new cold front bringing moderate rainfall.

President Ricardo Maduro inspected the area and noted that El Salvador is supporting relief operations with two helicopters supplying food and water to flood victims.

The president added that they have the means to cover staple needs for refugees by land and that international aid is on its way.
