West Caribbean Airlines Will Not
Shut Down Operations During
Maintenance
West Caribbean Airlines which
provides regular service between
San José and Colombia says that
it will not suspend operations
as it makes effects repair and
maintenance work on its fleet.
The company says that some
information sources said the
airline would shut down during
the maintenance period was sent
out in error. Carlos Massey,
financial director of West
Caribbean in Costa Rica, said
that information that the
company was having maintenance
troubles were unfounded and the
work will not affect operations.
Massey said that the company
will be performing maintenance
work on the airline's two
largest airplanes on different
days and will meet it's
obligations to passengers,
though there might be some
delays.
West Caribbean operates regular
and charter flights between San
José, San Andrés and Medellín in
Colombia.
