Alpizar Was A Calm Man; Family Making Arrangements For Repatriation
Though the widow of Rigoberto Alpizar, the Costa Rican born man who lived in the United States and gunned down at the Miami airport by US Marshals, doesn't still understand what really happened to her husband, the process to repatriate the body to Costa Rica is almost complete.

Authorities continue to insist that the man claimed to have a bomb causing the tragic accident. However, witnesses on the airplane tell a different story.

American Airlines passenger John Mcalhany told news reporters that he was sitting in a seat close to Alpizar and overheard the man telling his wife that "he had to get off the plane", later bumping into him and stumbling over several stewardesses in his attempt to leave the aircraft.

Mcalhany said that the first time he heard a bomb mentioned is when FBI agents questioned him, assuring that the federal agents kept asking him over and over if had heard the word bomb at any time.

Other passengers told that Alpizar was calm before boarding the flight.

Costa Rica's Channel 7 news "telenoticias" sent a team to Miami to investigate and spoke with Alpizar's wife, Anne Bekner, who didn't discuss the event in detail, but was emphatic that her husband was a calm man.
