annual Christmas bonus
yesterday. If you are private
sector employee, your employer
has until Decemeber 20 to pay up
or face sanctions and fines by
the Ministerio de Trabajo, if an
employee makes a complaint.

that, well, is impossible to
find. Many foreigners in Costa
Rica become frustrated with the
lack of street addresses, using
only a complex direction and
landmarks. Costa Ricans are fed
up as well, especially "mensajeros"
- couriers - who waste a great
deal of their time searching for
the right address.

The craziness to get a cellular
line began Monday night at
7:30pm, when authorized
Instituto Costarricense de
Electricidad (ICE) agents began
selling the new GSM cellular
lines and a telephone.
