Lula Stresses Brazil-China Ties
Beijing - Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da
Silva said on Tuesday Brazil-China relations
are a concrete example of mutual
understanding and respect between two
emerging countries.
In an article published
today by China Daily, Lula wrote there are
numerous achievements, including the
satellite program for prospecting of
resources started in 1988, and the Center on
Climate Change and Innovative Technologies.
Lula also aid he hopes cooperation can be
extended to such other sectors as
biotechnology and nanotechnology.
According to him, Brazil and China cannot
regard cultural differences as an obstacle,
but as an incentive to boost mutual
cooperation and knowledge.
In 2008, bilateral trade almost registered
40 billion dollars, and now Brazil wants to
diversify its exports to the Chinese market
and attract more investments. |
