Caracas - Bolivian Education minister,
Roberto Aguilar, announced that on March 22
his country will enter a post Literacy phase
as a continuation of the process of social
inclusion of President Evo Morales.
He explained that it will begin in the
locality of Chipaya in the department of
Oruro were the most ancient population of
historic Bolivian indigenous people have
lived for about 2,500 years.
Aguilar is participating in the first
meeting of Education Ministers of the
Bolivarian Alternative for the Peoples of
our America (ALBA) scheduled to conclude the
three day sessions in Margarita, Nueva
Esparta.
The meeting is of great importance because
it represents a consolidation of the
brotherhood of member nations, an important
issue that has allowed us to declare Bolivia
Territory Free of Illiteracy just a few
months ago, he added.
Among the points to be discussed are the
Grand National and Post Literacy Project and
its strategic connection to the development
and broadening of the International Robinson
mission.
Other subjects to be debated are programs of
sexual education, sexual reproductive
health, design and development of the hard
sciences like mathematics, physics and
chemistry.
Venezuelan official, Hector Navarro,
declared that the meeting promotes
establishing actions to boost literacy and
post literacy.
