18 Yr Old Wins "Barista"
Competition
Eighteen year old, Auren Chacón, is the winner in the VI Campeonato
Nacional de Barismo finals competition held in Terra Mall yesterday.
Chacón will now represent Costa Rica in the World "Barista"
Championship to be held in Atlanta, Georgia, on April 16, 2009.
Manuel Dinarte, last year's winner, came in second place and Melina
Fallas came in third.
Mario Arroyo, marketing manager for the Instituto del Café de Costa
Rica (ICAFE) said that the competition promotes the art of coffee
preparation in Costa Rica.
