Presidential Love??
Tired of the hounding by
the press and critics
and now an judicial
investigation into his
role in the Crucitas
open mining project,
Costa Rican president,
Oscar Arias, has decided
to seek solace in the
arms of his former
girlfriend, Johana
Mendolia.
The prez and Johana
broke up about 15 months
ago, but were seen
together Tuesday night
at the Teatro Nacional
concert of the Moscow
Sretensky Monastery
Choir.
Friends close to the
prez say that they have
been again a couple for
the past month.
Arias that he prefers
not to comment on his
personal life.
The couple broke up
after a brief engagement
in 2007. Although the
reasons for the break up
were never made public,
it is believed that
public life was too much
of a strain on the
couple, both agreeing to
mutually go separate
ways.
At 67, Arias, is 20
years older than Johana,
has two children from
his first marriage that
ended in 1996 after 23
years of marriage.
Johana is a public
relations professional,
working for the Grupo
Nación and Repretel, is
divorced and mother of
four children.
The only comment made by
the prez on the
relationship is "vamos a
ver … vamos a ver"
