Panama Implements Energy-Saving Project
Panama - Panama is implementing the energy-saving project "Operacion Bombillo" (Operation Bulb) in this capital, which is aimed at substituting six million power-saving lamps for incandescent bulbs.

Specialized personnel will replace up to ten incandescent bulbs per household free of charge during the first stage of the project.

Sources from the Ministry of Energy pointed out that a second batch of power-saving bulbs will arrive in the country early next year to spread the program to the rest of the country.

The campaign resulted from a cooperation agreement with Cuba, which will supply logistic support and expertise to carry out the project, which has been implemented successfully in other countries.
