Alleged FARC Rebel Detained For Third Time
The Policía de Migración (immigration police) said yesterday they detained, for the third time, a Mexican national with alleged ties to the Colombian rebel group, the Fuerza Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC).

Authorities say that the intelligence if firm that the 27 year old man identified only by his last names Cerga Guajardo, originally from Monterrey, Mexico, is linked to the FARC movement in Costa Rica.

Immigration records show that Cerda was deported on two other occasions, the first time in 2006 and again 10 days ago, on 2 May 2008.

The man was captures in Guanacaste on Monday and immediately flown to San Jose to begin deportation proceedings.

Cerda is linked to an insurgent group in Oaxaca, Mexico and FARC camps in Colombia.
