Keeping the Hope Alive;
Villalobos Sentence
Upheld
In an email to investors
of "the Brothers", the
investors group, UCCR,
is making aware to all
investors the Supreme
Court decision last week
that upheld the lower
court decision who found
Osvaldo Villalobos
guilty of aggravated
fraud and illegal
financial intemediation.
Osvaldo, one half of
"the Brothers", was
found guilty after a
lengthy trial last year
and sentenced to 18
years in prison. His
brother, Enrique, is
still missing and his
whereabouts unkown.
The UCCR tells investors
not to give up hope of a
financial recovery
completely, and that,
although it did not give
details, they are
working on alternatives
that could lead to a
recovery of funds for
the investors.
The letter says that the
investor group has much
more research to do
before saying more in
that regard and it will
take time to develop a
proposal, requiring a
major change in its
strategy.
