Taxi Operators Looking For Fare Increase
High gasoline prices are reason for a request by taxi drivers to ask for an increase in taxi fares.

The Autoridad Reguladora de Serviciso Públicos (Aresep) will be holding a hearing on August 1 to discuss the proposal by taxi operators to increase the base rate from the current ¢420 to ¢504 and each additional kilometre from the current ¢380 to ¢420 colones.
