Colombia Sending Guerrillas to US
The Colombian government will start procedures Wednesday to extradite to the US two guerrillas captured by military forces during the 15 detainees' rescue.

The Commander in General of the military forces general Freddy Padilla made the announcement after revealing that Washington ambassador William Brownfield will submit the request to the Colombian Foreign Ministry.

Then, he added, the government will start the corresponding legal procedures for speedy extradition to the United States, by wish of President Alvaro Uribe.

On July 2 the Colombian military forces rescued 15 people who were held in prison as hostages by FARC, among them three US agents, which gave way to the demand of extradition.

The army captured two guerrillas from the Colombian Revolutionary Armed Forces, known as Cesar and Gafas, who were in charge of guarding the group of detainees.
