Pathological Gambling
 The Ministerio de Salud (Costa Rican Ministry of Health ) declared ludopathy  – the addiction to gambling – a health problem and one of public and national interest.

It did so via a government decree which establishes the need to collect information and define, in the short term, programs to address the needs of those suffering the addiction and to prevent the high levels recorded in other countries.
