Conjoined Twins Coming At The Of The Month
Next Tuesday, doctors at the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital de Palo Alto, California, will be announcing that the separated twins, Yurelia and Fiorella Rocha Arias, will be making their way back to Costa Rica by the end of the month.

The conjoined twins were separated on November 12.

Yurelia and Fiorella were born joined at the torax and shared the liver and a heart valve.

The twins mother Marķa Elizabeth Rocha Arias has been with her babies since their arrival in the United States and will be coming home with them.

The separation surgery, led by Dr. Gary Hartman, took months of preparation and planning and only a 50% success rate had been expected. However, the twins beat the odds and have made a wonderful recovery.

Marķa Elizabeth has called the operation an unforgettable experience and "a miracle of God", thanking all those who prayed for her and her children.

Although the Yurelia and Fiorella were born in Costa Rica, both parents are Nicaraguan nationals and are asking help both from the Nicaraguan and Costa Rican governments for help when they return home.
