Flu Vaccination of Seniors Begins Today
Beginning today, 300.000 elderly and children will receive flu vaccination as the Caja Costarricense del Seguro Social (CCSS) begins a nationwide vaccination campaign.

The CCSS has invested some us$2 million dollars in purchasing the vaccine that will be administered free of charge to all citizens and residents over the age of 65 and children who are ill.

The campaign will kick off this morning at the Geriatrķa Blanco Cervantes hospital and the vaccine will be available at all CCSS hospital, clinics and Ebais in the country. In addition CCSS medical personnel say they will be available at locations where seniors get their bus tickets.

The campaign will run until April.

For those who don't qualify under the CCSS program, the vaccine is also available for purchase at pharmacies in the country.
