"Regular Plus" Gasoline
Available Next Week
Come
Wednesday, drivers can
begin to fill their tank
with "regular plus", a
higher octane regular
gasoline that will be
available at all
gasoline stations around
the country.
The state refinery,
Recope expects to
increase sales of
regular gasolines,
noticing a 12% increase
in the sale of super
gasoline and a drop of
2% of its regular
gasoline during the
month of July.
For the time being
"regular plus" will be
offered at the same
price as regular, which
goes to ¢726 a litre
beginning tomorrow.
However, don't discard
that the good folks at
the Autoridad Reguladora
de los Servicios
Públicos (Aresep) -
regulating authority -
will give "regular plus"
its own price, after it
completes an analysis of
the product.
By law, Recope, cannot
set its own prices on
fuels, although it can
offer differing products
without approvals as
long as the price is not
affected.
